The Cayman Islands Sea Cadets attended the International Sea Cadet Association’s Exchange in Australia from April 10-26, 2024. It was an unforgettable experience for youth from Australia, the United States of America, New Zealand, and the Cayman Islands! The sea cadets immersed themselves in Navy Cadet, Royal Australian Navy, and Aussie cultural activities, promoting intercultural understanding and leadership development.
On their return to Owen Roberts International Airport, the sea cadets were greeted by the Minister of Home Affairs, The Honourable Sabrina Turner, Chief Officer (acting) Michael Ebanks, Deputy Chief Officer (acting) Lisa Malice, and Colonel Errol Braithwaite, alongside their families. Minister Turner expressed her pride in meeting and greeting the young cadets, stating, "Witnessing the next generation of young and talented Caymanians creates an immense sense of pride within me, best described as 'MHAProud'. Meeting these exceptional cadets and greeting them after their success in the International Sea Cadet Association Exchange allows me to better appreciate the outstanding results achieved by our Ministry of Home Affairs and our Cayman Islands Cadet Corps."

🐨 Visits to Shoal Haven Zoo and Paddy’s Market
The exchange culminated with participation in the ANZAC Day memorial service and parade remembering Australians and New Zealanders who served in military operations. The Cadets and Adults bonded, exchanged cultures, and honed their global citizenship skills. 🌍🤝
